Have Card, Will Strip: The Different Versions of Strip Poker
Very few actually play strip poker, but this does not stop the game from becoming firmly entrenched in eager audiences' minds. It's not difficult to see why. Strip poker may not be the goldmine a small empire can be built on, but it's kindling to an already fertile imagination. The underlying idea behind strip poker is simple: participants play poker and losers remove items of clothing. Strip poker can be played in many variations. The most well-known version is playing a game of poker without bets. The player with the worst hand must remove an item of clothing. The game progresses until some players run out of clothing to discard. This version of strip poker is frequently glamorized in movies. However, it can be tricky to play this in real life. After all, would you really want to see your neighbor or your uncle naked?
Another strip poker version entails playing with bets. Bets may be in the form of truth, dare, or the removal of clothing. A third version of strip poker requires players to have a limited supply of chops. Any player who runs out of chips can get more chips by removing an item of clothing. In this version of strip poker, the game progresses rather slowly, but this can be a good thing, particularly if in the first place, you dread seeing your opponents in their birthday suits. Finally, we come to the strip poker version that was played on a television show. This is played between two teams, two men against two women. Teams take turns asking each other questions. The team that answers correctly gets to choose a card to add to its hand; the team that gets its answer wrong gets a card, too, but has to remove an article of clothing. Playing strip poker can be fun, but you had better play it with a plan in mind. In strip poker, you do not win money but booty. Victory can be hollow if you don't know what to do with it.
